Movie Review: Olympus Has Fallen

Exactly like Die Hard.
It had the same formula just in a more important situation.
One awesome guy gets stuck in a building that a whole bunch of terrorists have taken over.
The only thing is that this particular building is the white house.
Yay.

Rating: R
Time: 120 min
Stars: Gerard Butler, Morgan Freeman

You something else that gets on my nerves about this movie, on Tuesday a trailer came out for another movie.
This movie is called White House Down.
I'm not sure who copied who in this situation, all I know is that the two movies look exactly the same.
The only difference is that in White House Down there is two guys who get stuck in the White House.
I'm not sure characters, but the actors are Chaning Tantum and Jamie Foxx.
Unfortunately it will be very hard for me to see White House Down because I go to Spain every summer.
But even though I will probably not see it, I will try best to.
And if I do I will definitely compare it to this movie.
But anyways enough with the nonsense and let's go on to the review.
So the plot in this movie is that these terrorists invade the White House.
They got the president held hostage and there's only one man still in there that's not dead and that's Gerard Butler.
So what was good in the movie?
Well first of all the action in this movie was so awesome!
The guns and the explosions were great!
I knew that it wasn't the real White House but if I had never been to Washington I might have thought so.
Also the acting wasn't bad.
I mean it wasn't like Heath Ledger in the Dark Knight but it wasn't bad either.
And the movie did a good mixture of awesomeness and action with meaning.
There were some moments that were personal to the characters.
And I think that they blended it really well.
But all in all it was entertaining and that's the biggest factor.
Now what wasn't good in this movie.
This movie is cliche!
I mean it has so many patriot cliches in it that are stupid.
Like when the terrorists take over they throw the American flag off the White House.
And this movie is also very predictable!
I knew everything that was going to happen next.
And that brings me to my next point!
This movie has the same formula!
I've seen it all before!
Mostly in Die Hard.
But anyways even though there are some bad things to this movie I can understand it's point.
It's point isn't to win an Oscar, it's to make money and to make people have fun with it.
If you're going to see this movie don't go in there thinking it's going to be really good and intellectual.
Go in there and expect to have a fun time and nothing more.
Score=7.5

Movie Review: The Incredible Burt Wonderstone

What the heck is wrong with Steve Carells hair in this movie?
I mean he puts on a long hair wig that makes him look bad.
Then when things are not performances he takes the wig off and still looks bad.
But anyways that doesn't matter...
Wait, does it?

Rating: PG-13
Time: 100 min
Stars: Steve Carell, Jim Carrey

To tell you the truth, I LOVE MAGIC!!!!
And I LOVE MAGIC MOVIES!!!
Now I know that it's all fake but that's what gets me!
I have no idea how the people who do the tricks do it!
And same with this movie.
I'm not actually sure if the tricks in this movie were real or even possible!
All I know is that if they were, they're pretty good!
The first trick that they do in the movie as adults.
The Hangman trick.
Well that trick would be so awesome if it were real!
Anyways though that's not the point.
The point is to talk about a movie.
Good or bad it is still a movie!
And I have to talk about it!
NO!
I will talk about it!!!!

So the plot in this film is that there's this pair of magicians (Steve Carell, Steve Buscemi) and so you know they do magic in Las Vegas.
And then there's this new guy on the street and they have to make up a new act that will bring the audience bak to them and possibly save their careers.
Anyways now that that part is over, let's get into the things that didn't suck about this movie!
First of all can I say that the actors and actresses in this movie are awesome!
The whole cast is awesome!
Steve Carell, Jim Carrey, Steve Buscemi, Alan Arkin, Olivia Wilde and on...
But even though they're an awesome cast we'll get into their performances later...
Anyways let me get back to topic.
This movie is funny.
They're throwing jokes at you the whole time and most of them are really funny.
The movie also has magic which I think I already mentioned, I LOVE!
But not also that but the villain in this movie I think is great too.
He's so outrageous and he does all of these stupid things that are so funny!
Also this movie can be highly entertaining at moments!
It is just such a fun time at times!
By the way, the entertainment category is a big category because probably the best thing to have in a movie is entertainment.
But onwards to the bad stuff!!!!
First of all I think that some of the performances in this movie are weak.
I think that they're just not giving it they're best!
Also I think that the end of the movie was bad.
The thing they do s just so dumb and it's also illegal!
It's an unrealistic ending and it's just not good.
And when something big happens Steve Buscemi's character gets boring to me!
I think that the relationship after the big thing between him and Carell is fake.
I NEED TO BELIEVE!!!!!
And just straight up he didn't do a good job.
But also at some moments I felt like the movie was going to a bad place like it was going somewhere that didn't seem like it was going to entertain me, but before they even got there they changed roads.
Which I guess in a way is sort of good.
I also have one other bad thing but since I have to spoil the movie I'll do it after the score.
Anyways this movie is good if you've just seen a whole bunch of dramas and you want to relax.
Score=6.5

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!
Ok so what the other bad thing about this movie was that Olivia Wilde and Steve Carell kiss and make out.
And the weird thing about that is that Steve Carell is like about 50 years old and Olivia Wilde is around 30!!!
That's just plain sick!!
But anyways that's pretty much it.
BYE.

Movie Review: Oz the Great and Powerful

Hold on one second!
is the witch in this movie!!??
Now that's just not right.
I will never look at that actress the same ever again.
That makeup is scary!!!

Rating: PG
Time: 130 min
Stars: James Franco, Michelle Williams

So this is the next real Oz movie from the director of the Spiderman Trilogy.
But to me that isn't really important.
What is important to me is that this movie is also from the producer of Alice in Wonderland!
So let me just remind you that if you think that weird CGI is stupid and confusing then you will not like this movie.
It is full of it!!!
I don't even know how they film a movie like this!
Although I would like to know...
Anyways I guess I'll get more specific about that later.
But for now I have nothing else ramble about.
So the plot...
The wizard of Oz is not at the moment the wizard of Oz.
He gets to Oz and everyone thinks he's the wizard.
But he has to do something to prove himself.
So he goes off to try and stop the wicked witch.
So like my usual  routine the next thing I always say is...
What was good in the movie?
Well first of all, I thought the casting in the movie was great besides the green wicked witch.
I thought that James Franco did an excellent job at his part.
He was selfish and he played it really well.
I also thought that the last final scene in the movie was made well.
The way the movie ends was good and it was also at the same time pretty spectacular.
And might I say that some of the characters in this movie were kind of fun.
There's a flying monkey in this movie that's funny at moments.
But then there's this little dude who only appears in the beginning of the movie and the end.
But he was really funny and mean and in movies you need a character like that.
I also thought that the clothing in the movie was good.
And I also want to bring up the fact that a lot of people are comparing this film to Jack the Giant Slayer and the truth is that this movie wasn't that amazing, but it was much better then Giant Slayer.
And just the fact that this movie was PG surprised me.
I felt like they could've done a lot more if it were PG-13, but they did a pretty good job for PG.
Anyways let's get on to the bad stuff.
There are moments in this movie that I felt like didn't need to be in the movie to make it any different.
I felt like that if they were just simply taken out it would only make a movie shorter and nothing else.
And that brings up another point!
This movie was way too long for itself.
I mean other movies can be longer because they're really good!
But this was too long for itself.
I also thought that the CGI was sometimes too hectic and crazy.
In moments in the movie it felt like you were actually in  a painting.
It had different colors everywhere that made it feel like a rainbow.
And let me just say in the beginning of this movie when they're in Kansas, it's dumb.
It's unrealistic!
The crowd acts too fake and the reason James Franco actually ends up in a balloon, in a tornado, in Oz I thought was also very dumb.
Anyways I recommend this movie but I really think you should just wait for DVD and rent it.

Movie Review: Jack the Giant Slayer

So it's sort of like Hansel and Gretel Witch  Hunters just PG-13.
Also the giants in this one aren't as scary as the witches!
But does all of this make the movie better or worse!
Find out right now on X-ZOOOOOOOOOMMMMMZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!

Rating: PG-13
Time: 114 min
Stars: Nicholas Hoult, Stanley Tucci

Answer: I never saw Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters.
But seriously this movie is kind of hard to grade for me.
I mean to make it simple there isn't much I can say that was good about it, and there isn't much I can say that was bad about it.
What I mean is that I can't really say that it was enjoyable to me, but I can't also say that it wasn't enjoyable to me.
But anyways I guess I'll get into that later.
So the plot in the movie was that there's Jack.
There's the Beanstalk.
And then there's the Giant or in this case the Giant's.
But anyways they try to kill people and there you got the movie.
So what was good about the movie?
In the beginning first half when they're actually in Giant territory, it's entertaining.
I mean seeing all these giants biting the heads off of people and all of the carvings in the stone.
It's entertaining.
Now what was bad about the movie?
The design of the costumes were terrible.
The king looked absolutely ridiculous!
And many of the characters and giants were plenty annoying!
And the action in this movie I thought was weak.
The film also got pretty boring in moments like the end where there's the final fight.
It's not good when the biggest action scene which is also the end is boring.
And some times in the movie it makes me frustrated.
And also what I didn't like was that there were like 3 main bad guys because things kept on happening to the ones before them.
And the end was also pretty awful.
So in all now that I look back on it this movie was pretty bad.
But I can't say that because I had a pretty fun time with it.
Here's what I'll say, only see this movie if you're tired of boring movies.
Don't see it if your looking for something good or interesting.
I'm sorry that this in particular post isn't as long as others.
It's just the truth that I don't have much to say about it!
Score=5.0 (RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE!)

Movie Review: A Good Day to Die Hard

Hello everybody and happy reading!
First off I want to congratulate Seth MacFarlane for hosting a super awesome funny Oscars!
Much, much better then Anne Hatheway and that other person she was hosting with.
HE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF HIMSELF!!!
But anyways let's get back and review whatever the hack this is supposed to be!

Rating: R
Time: 98 min
Stars: Bruce Willis, Jai Courtney

Before we start the review let me just give you a tiny little miniature review of all the Die Hard's.
Die Hard: AWESOME, ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES OF ALL TIME!!!!
Die Hard 2: Not as good, a little more flat, but still good.
Die Hard with a Vengeance: Amazing!!! Bruce Willis and Sam L. Jackson make a great pair!
Live Free or Die Hard: PG-13? Little more safe, which makes it worst, but still great action film.
A Good Day to Die Hard: WHAT THE @$%&!!!!! That was a Die Hard movie?!!?!?!?!?
So now you got my basic impression on the movie.
Not that great...
The truth is that the beginning of the year, every movie is terrible!
The only reason I might have reviewed good movies is because they came out a long time ago.
For example: Amour came out a long time ago and was great!
Escape From Planet Earth not so long ago and it's really bad!
Anyways, let's get to the plot.
Wait hold on, was there even a plot?
This movie was so forced and scrambled that I couldn't catch on.
The only plot that I saw is that a guy, (NOT JOHN MCCLANE!) needs to stop a bad guy.
And the bad guy is Russian!
But anyways what was good in this movie?
The action was pretty good.
It has explosions and guns and it was entertaining.
But that's one thing!!
And that's not enough!!!
Now what was bad in this movie?
This is not a Die Hard movie!!!
If it was then I would at least seen a glimpse of John McClane!!!
There was no John McClane in this movie!!
None at all!!
The plot in this movie seemed forced and scrambled.
It was hard to follow with.
There's like a couple of twists in this movie and they're terrible!!!
They're terrible themselves and they're represented to me in a terrible way!
And the acting in this movie was also equally bad!
I mean it felt like the person who was acting wasn't Bruce Willis but Nicholas Cage.
TERRIBLE!
And the writing was bad!
It had stupid on liners and dialogue that wasn't realistic at all!
And the movie was also very unrealistic!
It had John McClane jumping of things and doing thing that would probably break every bone in his body.
But in the end you know he's all right because he only has like one tiny scratch.
And the chemistry between Bruce Willis and his son was terrible!
They have nothing in common whatsoever!
In all, I think it's fair enough to say that John Moore ruined the Die Hard franchise.
He should apologize to us because it's obvious that he his like Joel Schumacher ruining a superhero.

Movie Review: Amour

This movie should have really been called "desole."
That means sorry in french.
It should have been called "desole" because that's how many times they say it.

Rating: PG-13
Time: 127 min
Stars: Emmanuelle Riva, Jean-Louis Trintignant

This movie could have also been called "oh mon dieu c'était intense!!"
It could have been called that because, OH MY GOD IT WAS INTENSE!
No but seriously, this movie was really intense.
The director did an amazing job and made probably the most intense movie I have ever seen!
But then again, I'm not very fond of dramas unless it's Oscar season which it is...
GO SETH MACFARLANE!!!
HE'S GONNA DESTROY THE OSCARS!!!
Along with Stewie Griffin, Peter Griffin, Brian Griffin, Glen Quagmire and ect.
But to get back to the point this movie was a drama, but even then it was amazing and here's why...
So the plot of the movie is that there's an old french couple that live in France. (DUH)
And then the wife gets a stroke and goes to the hospital.
She then comes back no better then before and things start to get sad and intense and scary in a way.
So what worked in the movie?
As I said before this movie was really intense.
And I liked that because it made me feel the most out of every movie I seen this year and maybe ever.
And some people may not like that but I liked it, it was unique to me.
This movie was also very realistic.
There was no music unless being played there in the room in the movie.
The scenes were stretched out to make it more realistic and that was also well done.
So this pretty much all proves that the directing in this movie was brilliant and very very well done.
Also the dialogue in this movie, and the script in general was very good and also very realistic.
And there are some twists in this movie that are also very surprising and unexpected.
And the director plays them off very well and makes it more entertaining and surprising.
Also the as I said before the score was amazing because there was none.
And the whole movie takes place in the apartment with the exception of once where you see the apartment buildings hallway.
But even though your in only one place for the whole movie doesn't make it bad.
It makes it a little more realistic.
And the acting by Emmanuelle Riva in the movie was fantastic!
We'll talk about the old man later.
Now what was bad about the movie.
In moments there are things that aren't necessary.
There are scenes that I would think would make the movie no different if they weren't there.
And even though sometimes the director has you looking at a wall for a million years to make he movie more real, it gets tiring and old after a while.
I bet if you took out all of that time used looking at a wall the movie would have been an hour shorter.
And then as I said before, I will talk about the old man.
He was plain the whole movie to me.
I now know why he wasn't nominated for an Oscar, because he wasn't that great.
He didn't show that much change in his emotion.
And when big things were happening he acted the same as when little were happening.
But in all this movie is very realistic and intense.
I understand why it was nominated for THE Oscar.
If you like very realistic, intense and sad movies, this is a definite must-see!

Movie Review: Escape From Planet Earth

I told my friends that we should go see Die Hard.
I told them again and again but NOOO!!!
Well I warned them, and they didn't take me seriously, now look what we got - a terrible movie.

Rating: PG
Time: 89 min
Stars: Brendan Fraser, Sarah Jessica Parker

When I saw this movie I thought it would be exactly like Planet 51.
You know just the opposite way around.
And to tell you the truth I hated Planet 51.
It's probably one of my least favorite movies of all time.
Well this is not entirely like that.
It's better, but not good.
But at least I'll thank that this is not Planet 52.
But anyways let's get on to the plot...
So the plot in this movie is that two alien brothers (one string and awesome but dumb, one small and wimpy but smart!) work together to save the day blah, blah, blah...
So the awesome one comes to earth and gets captured so the wimpy brother has to go and save him.
Really it's so simple.
So what worked in this movie.
At some moments in the movie there was a joke or two and it was funny.
I chuckled a little and that was good coming from this movie.
But even though I chuckled at some jokes there were some that I didn't chuckle at, but we'll get to that later...
Now what was bad in this movie?
I know there's not a lot of good things.
The action in this movie is lame and bad.
The other jokes that I didn't chuckle at were annoying and terrible.
The voices of some of the characters didn't match the personality or the creature.
The plot seems forced and it's at the same time really, really bad.
The movies slow, I got so bored at some of the moments.
The movie was also very, very predictable.
I knew exactly what was going to happen next and at the end.
It was also very cheesy.
And the script is terrible!!!
They say things in this movie that don't relate to their character or the situation that their in.
And this movie is plain old silly!
Only someone who's completely clear-minded or a tiny, tiny baby would think that this movie was good.
In the end, never see this movie ever.
Score=3.5

People's Top 10 Worst Movies of 2012
#1 To Rome With Love
I hated this movie.
It sucked and I hated it.
Nothing else...
I hated it.
