Movie Review: The World's End

To end the Cornetto trilogy we need to end with a BAM.
The Worlds End was a BAM.
But is wasn't necessarily that great of a BAM.
I'm so disappointed...

Rating: R
Time: 109 min
Director: Edgar Wright
Stars: Simon Pegg, Nick Frost

To get straight to the point, I love the Cornetto trilogy.
I have loved every single one of them.
So when hearing that this movie was going to come out I knew I needed this movie.
This was probably the movie I wanted to see most the whole entire year.
A little crazy right?
Well anyways I don't have much more to say here so I'll get straight to the review.
So the plot in the movie is that Simon Pegg gathers his friends from high school and they all go back to their hometown to conquer the golden mile that they could never complete years back.
But in the mix of it, the town seems different and basically there's robots and they have complete the golden mile without dying and stuff like that.
So what was good in the movie?
First of all as I said before, I love this trilogy and I have loved every movie of theirs so this won't be any different.
Well getting back to the normal one of the things I liked was that the movie was highly entertaining.
The whole way through I was sucked in and I never got bored.
It's also really funny.
Well, only if you like that British type of humor.
And fortunately I do.
I thought that the jokes were unique and very new after seeing all those American comedies like We're the Millers and This is the End and also the other movies I rented on DVD that were in theaters years ago.
I thought that the characters were each very unique and special in their own way.
I thought they each played a different but grand role in the movie.
Also the acting was good.
It wasn't no Heath Ledger Joker but it was good for a movie that's obviously not trying to win any Oscar.
I thought that the plot was also very cool.
I like the idea of having these different pubs you need to go to as the main motivation for the characters and than all of this stuff happening in between.
And same with this movie that I liked with all movies are the shots that the movie takes.
The sound effects to those shots and the way it made me tingle in my seat was awesome.
They've done those shots in all of the three movies and I love them all.
Also at the end of the movie Simon Pegg has a very awesome monologue.
It was pretty much awesome.
So what wasn't so awesome though?
Well first of all I thought the ending of the movie was terrible.
Pretty much everything that happens after Simon Pegg's monologue was just terrible!
It's like they ran out of ideas and went with an ending that leaves a lot hanging and is just so STUPID!
I hated the ending with passion.
I also thought that this movie was nothing special.
I thought that it was going to have an awesome twist ending that relates to the other movies.
SPOILER ALERT!
It doesn't.
END.
I mean if I had just skip the movie entirely I wouldn't be missing out on much.
So to sum all of this up, the movie was a terrible ending to the Cornetto trilogy but a good movie in general.
And here is my order from worst to best of the Cornetto trilogy movies.
3. The World's End
2. Shaun of the Dead
1. Hot Fuzz
Not really a shocker right?
Score=6.5
