Movie Review: Hotel Transylvania

An Adam Sandler movie that's a cartoon and wait what was that, IT'S FOR KIDS!!!!
WHAT!?!?!?!

Rating: PG
Time: 91 min
Stars: Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg

This movie includes great actors and some not so amazing stars.
Like Sandler, Samberg, James, Buscemi and the not so great stars like Gomez and Green.
So the plot in this movie is that Sandler made a hotel just for monsters so his daughter could be safe forever.
But then Samberg joins the party and now we got a human!
So lets start with the things I liked about the movie.
Like ParaNorman this movie had some pretty premature jokes that were funny for kids.
But then again little kids watch the movie too so there are also some pretty dumb jokes also.
The characters were amazing and unique and I loved them.
And something else that was unique in this movie was the story itself.
Who would ever think of a story about a hotel for monsters.
There's a part in this movie where they make fun of Twilight.
It was amazing!
It probably made the whole movie to me and probably millions of other people.
So Adam Sandler, there aren't that may animation movies anymore.
And unless you start making you're movies like you did when there was Big Daddy or Happy Gilmore or The Longest Yard then start making cartoons.
Because this movie was pretty good!
So know let me talk about the bad things.
One of the bad things are that in the mix of this comedy there was some meaningful stuff that ruined the movie.
I mean don't add meaningful stuff to a comedy.
Seriously!
The problems that they get in to in the film are kind of boring or slow.
And the trailer for this movie is really bad.
It makes the movie the seem like it's going to be bad while I'm watching it.
So I'm not that into or connected to the movie that much.
So that's pretty much the last thing I have to say about the movie.
I would recommend this movie to adults and children.
Pretty much anyone who likes mature jokes but also can handle annoying cute baby ones.
Score=7.5

P.S. I have that poster in real life!

Movie Review: Trouble with the Curve

Basically the worst version of MoneyBall.

Rating: PG-13
Time: 111 min
Stars: Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams

So now we got cigar smoking, wrinkly faced, high pantsed all time classic actor (unfortunately) in another movie!
Lets see what this movie turns out to be!
The plot in this movie is that Eastwood is a kind of guy who spots out young baseball players to be in the big leagues, so he takes a trip to spot out this one rookie, just fact is that his eyesight is terrible!
So Amy Adams his daughter is there to make sure everything is fine.
This is one of those movies where the trailer makes it look really good but then it's NOT.
So know that I started writing about one of my disappointments in the movie, let me discuss all the others.
The characters in this movie are terrible.
I wasn't routing for anyone, you're supposed to be routing for Eastwood but how can route for a guy who's grumpy all the time and is kind of crazy!
Seriously, the guy talks to a chair!
But Amy Adams I also didn't like!
I mean she does her job well by being exactly like her dad (Eastwood) but in the movie I think your'e actually supposed to like her.
The thing that these two characters had in common were that they were both stubborn and both a downer.
And Justin Timberlake!
This guy is annoying because he's always there when there's a problem.
And to me, he just won't stop talking!
Seriously, ANNOYING!
The only guy I liked a little in this movie was John Goodman.
But I think that I speak for everyone, I've seen this guys character about a million times before.
The rookie that Eastwood is chasing is a butthead even though if he were real he would have pretty impressive baseball skills.
And in this movie there's always a problem, even a tiny problem until the last 3 minutes of the film.
And a point in this movie there's such a little thing but when it happens it is so obvious and it kind of tells you the ending.
But if you don't realize it, seriously?
And in this beginning of this movie there's this really scary black horse (or to me a really red donkey) coming straight at you and it doesn't have and words under it or anything so I'm still wondering if that was apart of the movie or a company supporting the movie.
But anyways now the good things.
There's this person in the movie that only really appears during the end.
He kind of makes the whole movie for me.
And I also liked the bad guys in this movie.
Well not really the bad guys but the guys who stay at the office doing research on the players and not really seeing them themselves.
Anyways I recommend this movie to anybody who likes Abraham Lincoln but only because he's a republican.
No offense to republicans except for Sarah Palin.
Score=5.0
P. S. And everyone else

Movie Review: Finding Nemo 3D

Everything comes out on Friday!
But I guess I'll just have to settle for this right now.

Rating: G
Time: 100 min
Stars: Albert Brooks, Ellen DeGeneres

I wasn't saying this movie was bad I was saying that I have it on DVD.
Actually this movie was AMAZING!!!
And I'm sorry that I haven't been writing a lot anymore.
The reason is that school has started and I don't have that much time to see movies anymore.
But don't worry, I won't see many but I'll see some.
Unlike other movie reviewers that don't get paid.
I have a life.
But anyways lets start the review.
So the 3D, usually I dislike 3D, and I still did in this film, but this had pretty good 3D for a movie that wasn't meant to be 3D.
So the plot of this movie is that Nemo's missing and Marlin (his dad) has to go look for him.
So straight in the beginning of this movie your pumped and enjoying.
But then 5 seconds later the movie gets dark, actually it gets really dark!
And any G movie that can pull that off besides Toy Story 3 I'm a fan of.
It goes in a direction that you don't really expect from that kind of movie.
So after the darkness goes by you are really pumped and you are gnawing for more.
This movie has you on the edge of your seat and it does that really well.
The plot in this movie was amazing, because you're facing Marlins story but also Nemo's story at the exact same time.
And usually I dislike that in a movie but this movie had seemed to pull it off for me.
The colors in this movie are also very colorful and always match the color of what the mood is in the movie.
The characters in this movie are unique and you love them all.
I mean you even love the shark!
And the scenarios in this movie are also pretty fun.
From losing Nemo to riding on a hippie turtle.
This movie was a fun film and a classic.
If you haven't seen it, really?
You are probably one of the 4 people on the entire face of the planet that hasn't seen Finding Nemo, so congrats to you.
But seriously, If you haven't seen Nemo then what are you doing reading this?
Go buy yourself a ticket.
Everyone will love this movie.
Score=9.0

And another thing that was awesome in this movie was the clip before it called Party-Sarus Rex.
Score=9.0

Movie Review: The Words

So a new movie with Mr. Handsome, and guess what, IT'S A DRAMA!

Rating: PG-13
Time: 96 min
Stars: Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana

This was practically 3 movies shoved into an hour and a half.
So the plot in this movie is that Bradley Cooper is a writer, but not a very successful one.
So he finds a manuscript that isn't his but publishes it.
And that's pretty much all you need to know right now.
Now lets get started on the things I liked about this movie.
The first third of the movie was amazing.
I was into it, the pacing was good and I was enjoying it.
Then Jeremy Irons appears in the movie and starts telling this whole story that's entertaining but way too long.
The scene in the park seems like it's half of the whole movie.
But then you know, it's not.
But I'm supposed to be talking about the things I liked in this movie.
The pacing in this movie is good you don't seem to get bored unless your a kid who says every single movie in the entire universe is simply... good.
I liked Bradley Cooper in the movie.
I thought his character was entertaining and he did his job well.
Although the person I seemed to have enjoyed the most in this movie was Zoe Saldana.
I thought her relationship with Bradley Cooper was great and I thought she did well in the movie.
But other then them everyone else seemed you know, ehh.
I liked the twists in this movie and the way things went.
I was surprised that the movie went places but to me I had seen it all before.
If anybody out there has seen the Broadway Play Other Desert Cities then you will recognize the ending of this movie and yo won't be that surprised.
Just a warning.
Now let me talk about the things readers are more interested in.
The bad stuff about this movie.
I thought that Olivia Wilde had no use in this movie whatsoever.
I thought that her role was in the movie because she was pretty girl and the director went "Ohh! Olivia Wilde! I think I can fit her in somewhere!"
And also the story with Dennis Quaid was just dumb.
They make things so stupid in this movie that it's just so dumb.
And Jeremy Irons in this movie, his reaction was so fake to the events that were happening in his life.
I mean he seams like he doesn't care that his ___ is being ____ by ______ _____.
And I don't like that there are practically 3 movies in this movie.
I don't like it when movies do that!
Even though this one did so good that I don't hate it.
And the ending to this movie can get a little confusing.
If you're a kid you probably will have to ask your parents about what the heck just happened in the ending.
And what the hack happened to _____ _______!
Did __ just magically disappear in the end!
It doesn't tell you anything about ___ in the end!
So __ just _____ and you never mention __ again?
Did you really just ruin _____ _____ for the whole movie?
Well whatever!
I recommend this movie to anybody who likes those 2 stories in one movies.
Example: This movie does that good and The Lorax is probably the worst movie in 2012 according to me.
And I also recommend this movie to anyone who likes Bradley Cooper.
Score=8.0

Movie Review: Premium Rush

Thanks to this movie I love bikes now.
Thank you JGL.

Rating: PG-13
Time: 91 min
Stars: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Shannon

So I started school today so let me get started right away.
The plot in this movie is that JGL is a biker for a delivery service, so he's on one of his missions and Michael Shannon appears and he starts to get in all kinds of trouble.
So what did I like about the movie.
They do something in the movie where they show the different scenarios and that's really cool.
I also liked Michael Shannon in the beginning in the movie, where the first scene he sounds he's menacing but then the rest of the movie he turns to be this guy who you really get annoyed by and even in some scenes you can realize that his voice gets from normal to really squeaky.
the stunts and the biking are really awesome in this movie.
I really enjoyed them and they were cool.
Now let me get to the bad things in the movie.
There were some things in this movie that without would have made no difference to the film whatsoever.
And if you have read any other review about this film in the whole entire universe you should know about Jamie Chung's fake Asian accent.
It's so bad I want to barf.
Another thing I didn't like is how the movie went to the past and then to the present again and again and again.
The acting in this movie- EH.
I also didn't like that this ____ worked ___ and did this kind of ___ and wasn't ______.
And i wasn't a big fan of the ending, I thought was cheesy and just plain old movie.
If you're trying to make a real movie don't to type of thing in the end.
Anyways If you like bikes come see this film, if you don't then buy a bike and practice.
Score=5.5

Movie Review: The Campaign

Will Ferrel vs Zach Galifianakis, no way anyone can mess this up!
Or can they?

Rating: R
Time: 85 min
Stars: Will Ferrel, Zach Galifianakis

It's always funny when you make something so dull into a funny movie with Will Ferrel.
AWESOME!
The plot is that Will Ferrel has won and been congressman without competition for a long time.
Until 2 people hire Zach Galifianakis to run up against him.
And now we have a Campaign.
May the best loser win!
So lets get started on what I liked about in this movie.
The humor in this movie was good.
It was a funny movie and it belongs in the section of the funniest movies of the year.
You know the one where 21 Jump Street and The Dictator are in.
Another thing I liked where the characters personalities, they're both horrible dumb people but you seem to like them both.
You have to think about the facts to decide who you want to win.
And another thing I like is that before the movie you really don't know who's going to win.
So your anticipating the ending to see who's going to win.
There were 2 people in this movie that really shined to me.
And those people were Karen Maruyama and Jason Sudekis.
Maruyama was so funny in this movie she was probably the person I liked most.
And Jason Sudekis was probably the only normal person in this movie.
And that's why he shined for me.
So now lets get on to the bad stuff.
This movie was very stupid.
And even though I said I liked the the characters they were very dumb characters.
The whole way through the movie I wasn't routing for Will Ferrel or Zach Galifianakis.
They were both idiots.
And sometimes in the movie parts got to boring.
But other then those things the only thing that I didn't like was that it got a little to choppy for me at some moments.
People who think that movies have no meaning and only care about news, come to this movie and celebrate the first time you'll actually enjoy something!
I recommend this movie to anyone who knows how to laugh and have a good time.
Score=7.5
